Our Midwest work ethic keeps us focused on brewing thoughtfully creative and well-balanced Ales, Sours, and Lagers, and because of that, we believe that Fifth Ward has something for every beer drinker in Oshkosh, the Fox Valley, and beyond. It’s not always about the hard work, though. Sometimes you just need to have a relaxing beer with friends at a local brewpub, and we can get down with that too.

In order to produce creative and balanced high-quality beer, we knew we’d need to source the best and freshest ingredients, brew on a high-quality system, and keep the beer as fresh as possible.
We gather our ingredients from some of the most trusted and reputable sources from all over the world. We use grain from as far away as Germany and as local as Chilton, WI. Our hops come from the Pacific Northwest, as well as right here in WI.
Keeping it as local as possible, Quality Tank Solutions of Oconomowoc, WI, designed and built our oversized 10-barrel brewhouse and fermenters with precision and functionality at the core of their design.
Our recipe development is driven by our backgrounds in the sphere of culinary arts. We understand what makes good flavor and that balance is key to any good recipe. It’s a fine line between tradition and innovation, but we are exploring that boundary with every beer we make.
We understand that fresh beer is the best beer, and every day, we strive to make sure that our loyal drinkers and newcomers alike experience Fifth Ward beer at its peak. Virtually all of our beer is enjoyed in our local Oshkosh taproom and has a small but growing footprint throughout eastern-central Wisconsin.
